At McCloughan Gunn & Company, we have over 35 years of experience in preparing wills for clients. We take great care in advising our clients on the importance of succession planning and on the legal requirements that must be satisfied when executing their will.

Our firm has proudly taken part in MyLegacy.ie’s “Best Will In The World Week” for the last number of years, where we give clients the opportunity to create a will or update an existing one at a reduced consultation fee. It is a surprising fact that 7 out of 10 adults do not have a will, and therefore its is recommended that every individual put one in place, particularly if they have family or assets they wish to protect.

Without a will, a range of issues can potentially arise:

Children may not be entitled to an inheritance
An unmarried partner may have no entitlement to inheritance
A surviving spouse/civil partner is not necessarily entitled to inherit everything
The family home may need to be sold
